The member representing Malumfashi Constituency in the state House of Assembly, Aminu Ibrahim Saidu, who confirmed the incident, said, “I’ve visited the affected communities to sympathised with the families over the unfortunate incident.

“The increasing criminal activities recently in Katsina State, with the police authorities attributing it to the influx of bandits from Zamfara and Sokoto states due to the ongoing military operations in those states is troubling.”

When contacted for confirmation of the incident, spokesperson for the police in the state promised to get back on the issue but had yet to do so as of the time of this publication.
