Arrest all buyers of N100m APC Nomination forms – Famuyibo, Ekiti AP guber candidate

Takes door-to-door campaign to Erio, Ido Ile

Candidate of the Accord Party (AP), in the June 18, 2022, Ekiti State governorship election, Basorun Reuben Famuyibo, has called on the Nigerian security agencies to arrest every presidential aspirant who has purchased the Expression of Interest and Nomination Form of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for N100 million.

Basorun Famuyibo also called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and other security agencies to, without further delay arrest everyone who has committed N100 million to the purchase of the forms.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Olajide Omojolomoju, Famuyibo said, “If the N100 million could be raised in 100 places, all our students who are confined to their homes following the on-going industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), would have returned to school and ASUU would have returned to classrooms to do what they know best, which is impacting knowledge to our children.”

The AP candidate expressed shock and dismay at how the Federal Government had allowed the ASUU strike to escalate to the level it is now,  lamenting that allowing the students to remain home for another three months is not in the best interest of stakeholders in the education sector in the country.

However, Famuyibo has commenced a DoorTo-Door Campaign around the state during which he promised the people of the state of how he will turn around their fortune.

He made the promise when his campaign train stormed Erio and Ido-Ile To Turn Around Fortunes Of Ekiti-Ekiti, where he met with his supporters and shared his vision and plans for Ekiti State and its people if given the opportunity to emerge as governor of Ekiti State with the next month election.

At the town hall meetings, held with him in the two communities, he told them that he was in the race for governor to liberate Ekiti State and the people from the shackles of poverty and hunger the present and previous administrations in the state have perpetually subjected them to, lamented that Ekiti people have no business with hunger and poverty.

Insisting that enough is enough of Ekiti people being taken for a ride by the people in government, Famuyibo challenged his audience to do away with the slogan of ‘vote and cook stew,’ urging them to take their destiny in their hands and vote out those who have impoverished them.

He also lamented a situation where graduates have become Okada riders because there is no employment and they need to survive, promising that his administration would not only create employment opportunities, but create enabling environment for those who have creative and business ideas to thrive.

He also expressed sadness at what the people of Ekiti is going through now due to the maladministration of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and All Progressives Congress, (APC), administrations, promising that a vote for him to become governor of Ekiti is a vote to change the history and fortune of Ekiti and its people for the better.

The people of the two communities promised that they would not only vote for Famuyibo, but pledged to also mobilize their families and friends to vote for him on June 18.
