Given the Supreme Court judgment which truncated Hon. Emeka Ihedioha-led PDP government in Imo State and brought in Sen. Hope Uzodinma of the APC, members of the new ruling party have engaged themselves in serious ‘battle’ for appointment into various positions in the new administration.
Members of APC believed to have been disintegrated and torn into pieces even before the Supreme Court judgment are already struggling, warming themselves into the good books of the new administration for recognition.
The three camps of the party in the state under the leadership of the immediate past governor of the state, Sen.Rochas Okorocha, Sen. Ifeanyi Araraume and the coalition groups, have been holding meetings to fashioned out possible way of addressing the issue.

The Nigerian Xpress gathered that before the first appointment by the current administration of Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff, the Chief Press Secretary, and Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, there was a confusion arising from the many names that were listed from different camps to be considered for appointments.
Hours after the appointment, the scheming has intensified by the camps hence the Odenigbo House, presently serving as temporary Government House, has suddenly become a beehive of activities of people of varying camps especially of APC members in the state.
Meanwhile, Governor Hope Uzodinma has announced the dissolution of the Local Government Management chairmen in the 27 local government areas of the state.
