There was anxiety over the health condition and whereabouts of a former Governor of Abia State, Sen. Theodore Ahamefule Orji.
Rumours making the rounds, in Abia State, for days now had it that the former governor slumped in his Umuahia country home, on Thursday evening, March 2, and was revived only for him to reportedly slump again the next morning and flown to Abuja for medical attention.
The rumours have gained ground as Sen. Orji was last seen in public while casting his vote in the village during the February 25 Presidential and National Assembly elections.

However, one of his close aides dismissed the rumours following enquiries by reporters.
On Saturday morning, the aide claimed principal was hale and hearty.
“He is billed to commission some projects next week in Abia,” the aide said.
He disclosed that the former Abia helmsman would likely make a live video broadcast to reassure his admirers that all was well with him.
