Angry student who failed exams killed 8, wounded 17 students in a knife attack

 

 

 

A 21-year frustrated student simply identified as Wu Xu who failed a vocational skill exam has vented his frustration by killing eight of his fellow students and wounded another 17 in a knife attack

The incident happened at 6:30pm on Saturday at a vocational school, Wuxi Vocational Institute of Arts and Technology located in the eastern Chinese city of Wuxi.

According to the Police, the student was frustrated after failing his examinations and could not graduate and was also not satisfied with the amount he was being paid as an intern.

Disillusioned, he decided to vent his frustrations by attacking his fellow students.

Several injured people were seeing lying on the street after the attack while others rushed to help.

Sympathisers have been laying bouquet of flowers at the entrance to the college to mourn the victims.

The attack was the second in a week following the incident of a man who drove his car into people at a sports facility in the southern city of Zhuhai, leaving 35 people dead and 43 injured.

In recent times, China has witnessed several cases of knife attacks which have claimed lives. It is recalled that in October, a man allegedly attacked children with a knife at a school in Beijing leaving five people wounded.

Likewise in September, a man frustrated because of his financial challenges took his frustration to the street and killed three people in a Shanghai supermarket, and injured 15 others, while another Japanese schoolboy was killed after he was stabbed on his way to school in the southern city of Shenzhen.
