Alleged false assets declaration: Onnoghen to call CCB Director as Witness

Embattled suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen, plans to call a Director of the Code of Conduct Bureau, Mrs. Theresa Nwafor, as one of his witnesses in his ongoing trial on charges of false assets declaration.

Counsel to Justice Onnoghen informed the CCT of the plan at the resumed sitting of the tribunal, on Monday, in Abuja.

The tribunal had, last Friday, dismissed Onnoghen’s No-case Submission and ordered him to open his defence, on Monday.

At the sitting, Justice Onnoghen’s counsel informed the tribunal that the proceedings of tribunal, on Friday, had not been made available to them.
