African Games: I’m working hard towards making team, says Okon

Nsikak Okon, a 4x400m Bronze medalist at the 2019 African U-20 and U-18 Championships, on Thursday, said that he was bent on making Nigeria’s team for the 12th African Games in Morocco.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) has fixed July 22 to July 27 for trial at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna State ahead of the African games.

Okon, who alongside Nnabukwo Gbaruko, Shedrach Akpeki and Jeremiah Nathaniel won bronze at Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, said that he had been training hard.

He told NAN that he was optimistic that with resilience, hard work and prayer, he would make the team that would be called to camp by the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN).
