Abia gov. heads to Egypt for 2018 Intra-African Trade Fair

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State will depart Nigeria, on Tuesday, for Cairo, Egypt, to attend the 2018 Intra-African Trade Fair, organised by the African Export- Import Bank (Afreximbank).

AFREXIM Bank is in strategic relationship with the Abia State Government on the promotion of Investment and Industrialisation.

The Bank is also one of the strategic partners of the Enyimba Economic City.

While in Cairo, Governor Ikpeazu will participate in strategic sessions on promotion of the Agro-processing value chain in Africa, as one of the keynote speakers.

In a release issued by Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Enyinnaya Appolos, he said that Governor Ikpeazu would also participate in several meetings with International Finance organizations and Foreign delegations as well as use the opportunity to further promote the Enyimba Economic City project to the Investing Public.

It will be recalled that the Federal Government and Abia State Government recently signed Definitive Agreements for the take off of Enyimba Economic City Project.

The endorsement of the agreement between the Enyimba City Economic Zone Limited and Nigeria Special Economic Zone Company, took place at the Presidential Villa Abuja and was witnessed by President Muhammadu Buhari,  Governor Ikpeazu and other top federal and state government functionaries alongside representatives of host communities.

The Governor is expected to return this weekend.
