Abe alleges Amaechi planning to stop Boms from participating in APC Nat’l election

Sen. Magnus Abe has said the alleged plot to stop the election of Barr. Worgu Boms as National Vice Chairman, South-South at the forth coming convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by the  Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has been uncovered.

The former representative of the Rivers South East senatorial District at the National Assembly alleged that the Minister of Transportation, Amaechi has been shopping from Court to Court looking for a judge that will grant him an injunction to stop Worgu Boms from contesting in the election.

Abe made the allegation in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Parry Saroh Benson, on Sunday night.

The Senator wonder why those who profess to be democrats would not allow the people to have a say in a democracy.

Abe said, “We are aware that the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has been shopping for a court order, an injunction to stop Barrister Worgu Boms from contesting  as National Vice Chairman, South-south at the forthcoming APC National Convention in Abuja.

“He is also planning to send people to demonstrate at the National secretariat of the party in Abuja as part of his campaign to stop Barr. Worgu Boms.

“We feel that those who profess to be democrats should allow the people to have a say in a democracy.

“They should take their matter to the convention and let the delegates decide”.
