64-yr-old man in trouble for defiling minor in Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 64-year-old man for allegedly defiling a two-year-old girl at Agbado area of Ogun State.

The state’s police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed that the suspect, Ayotunde Taiwo, was arrested, following a complaint by the victim’s mother lodged at Agbado Police Station

According to Oyeyemi, the mother of the girl had, on Tuesday, said she had observed that her daughter could not walk properly as she used to.

After examining her daughter, the woman reportedly noticed blood gushing out of her private part.

“When she asked her daughter about what happened to her, the little girl pointed to the house opposite their own house,” Oyeyemi said.

Consequently, the DPO of Agbado division, CSP Kehinde Kuranga, reportedly detailed his men to the scene, where they arrested the suspect.

The police spokesman added: “On getting to the house, the suspect was found washing his blood-stained boxer, indicating that he just had unlawful carnal knowledge of the little girl.”

According to Oyeyemi, the victim has been taken to hospital for treatment while t the Commissioner of Police in Ogun, Edward Ajogun, had directed that the case be transferred to the Family Support Unit at Ota Area Command for further investigation and prosecution.
