35 parties adopt APC for Kwara guber poll

Thirty-five political parties, of 55 that are contesting Saturday’s governorship poll in Kwara State, have adopted the candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, 72 hours before the exercise.

The adoption is the fall-out of the February 23, 2019 presidential and National Assembly elections and the swinging political pendulum in the state.

The parties said AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq represents the ideals and visions they also have, which they were asking him to go and do.

Spokesman for the parties, under the aegis of Kwara Like-Minds Political Parties, KLPP, Oladele Sunday, disclosed this at a press conference in Ilorin on Wednesday.

He said KLPP, which comprises of over 35 parties in the state showed up when it matters.

“We are at a critical stage in our country, but most especially our dear state is already in the political labour room and KLPP has joined hands with APC and other stakeholders in taking a successful delivery of a liberated Kwara.

“Today is not meant for an unending discussion but to let the world know that when Kwarans are dying slowly in the hands of political tyrants, KLPP showed up.

“When Kwarans are groaning and gnashing their teeth under the bad governance in the state, posterity will be fair to us that KLPP showed up,” Sunday said.

Oladele explained that KLPP had instructed their numerous members and appealed to voters in the state to vote en mass for the APC candidates.

Chairman of APC, Bashir Bolarinwa, speaking at the event, said even though, the party is sure of victory at the poll, the adoption APC would make the victory double sure.

The political parties include, PPN, ADC, KOWA, NCP, MAA, NDLP, BNPP, NNPP, IDP, HDP, FJP, NAC, CAP, DPC, APDA, YDP, PPC, YPP, PRP, NPC, PPP, C4C, PT, RPN, AAC, GDPN, AGA, RPPN, ADP, NPM, ANP, UDP, AAN, DA, ASD and APN.
