2019 elections: Seers who saw the sudden postponement

Kehinde Adewole, Ado Ekiti

Some prophets had actually predicted that the Independent National Electoral commission (INEC) would postpone the general elections and that Nigerians should be expectant of a new president to lead from May 29. Their predictions sounded unbelievable but now one of them has come to pass.

While Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, with headquarters in Lagos, predicted the poll dates postponement on page 24 of his yearly book of prophecies, ‘Warnings to the Nations’, 2018/19 edition, and later urged Nigerians and the Peoples Democratic Party to guard their votes against manipulation by the ruling party, Prophet Temitope Aduroja, who also predicted the postponement. He was categorical about his prophecy that a new president would lead Nigeria from May 29 and President Mohammadu Buhari would have no choice but to accept defeat from the main opposition.

Primate Ayodele had said: “I foresee political gladiators trying to confuse the Independent National Electoral Commission. The election dates picked by INEC will be debated because of the need for adjustments. I foresee fake electoral materials will be in circulation nationwide.”

During his address to newsmen on February 14, Ayodele, who urged President Buhari not to force himself on Nigeria, had also said: “I urge the PDP to follow APC bumper to bumper if they want to win, otherwise the ruling party will snatch their victory. Nigerians have actually decided to change the ruling party because there is too much suffering in the land. Mark my word, Buhari’s health won’t make him complete a second tenure; and I also urge him not to force himself on Nigerians.”

Prophet Aduroja, in his own predictions for the polls, said: “Year 2019 presidential election will not hold in February, as proposed by INEC. It is going to be postponed to another month.

2019 Presidential election will be tough and at the same time, it’s going to be interesting more than year 2015 election. Many dramas will begin to unfold between now till Election Day.

“Northerners will shock Nigerians in the coming presidential election. The results of some Northern states will surprise many people. It’s going to be contrary to expectations cum popular belief.

“I see a new president in Nigeria in year 2019. He’s going to win at least 20 States out of 36. This is going to shock many people. The incumbent President will have no choice than to accept defeat. I will release the State by State analysis 2days to the presidential election the way I did in year 2015.

“Once the new president emerges, the present executive Governor of Osun State should get ready to vacate office because the man, who truly won the election will reclaim his mandate,” he said.

Also, another cleric, Bishop Wale Olagunju, the presiding Bishop of Divine Seed of God Chapel Ministries, Ibadan, who had  predicted the emergence of Atiku Abubakar as PDP presidential flag bearer as well as his reconciliation with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, had in an interview with a national daily in December last year, said: “Let me congratulate President Muhammadu Buhari for winning the ticket of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and let me also make it clear to him that he will lose to Atiku Abubakar.

Let me also congratulate Atiku in advance because he will win the next presidential election come 2019. Let me say, as a matter of fact, that Buhari does not need an Alfa or prophet to deceive him that he would win the election, for as God lives, he will lose. You remember I predicted the return of notable APC members to their former home, to be frank, big guns in APC will soon decamp and begin to campaign for Atiku. It is then that Buhari and the so-called APC will realise that the party is as good as dead.”
