The Court of Appeal, sitting in Abuja, has affirmed Donald Duke as the authentic presidential standard bearer of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Prof. Jerry Gana had dragged Duke before a Federal High Court, challenging his eligibility to take part in the primaries held last year.

The three panel led by Justice Abdul Aboki held that the application was illegal and unconstitutional and ought not to have been entertained by the lower court.
Meanwhile, in a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Alfa Muhammad, Chief Olu Falae, who is the party’s National Chairman, is expected to hold a National Working Committee (NWC) meeting soon to review the situation.
