Woman arrested for slashing husband’s genital in Ogun

Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have announced the arrest of a 28-year-old woman for allegedly cutting her husband’s manhood during a disagreement.

The suspect, who was identified as Yemisi Ogunlana reportedly used a sharp object to cut her husband, 31-year-old Idowu Adebowale’s manhood in the Oko-Oba area of Ogijo.

Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson of the police e command, disclosed this in a statement to journalists on Monday.

Adebowale had reported the incident to the Ogijo Division, adding, however, that the suspect denied the allegations during interrogation.

“A 31-year-old man named Idowu Adebowale, from the Oko-Oba area of Ogijo, came to the police station and stated that on October 15 at 4:30 a.m., his wife, 28-year-old Ogunlana Yemisi, used a sharp object to severely injure his manhood during a minor disagreement,” Odutola said.

“He showed the officers the injury, revealing a significant cut near the tip of his penis.

“But given the severity of the injury and the length of time the complainant had not sought medical help, he was provided with a medical form and advised to go to the hospital.”

The suspect, according to Odutola, is currently being detained while the case will be transferred to the SCID in Abeokuta for further investigation.
