Voters in Ward 2 Polling Unit 005, Calabar Municipality Local Government Area, have insisted that the cubicles in the unit must be placed where everyone could see them, leading to altercation between the voters and Independent National Commission (INEC) officials.
The altercation began when the INEC officials announced the commencement of accreditation and voting simultaneously and explained that the separation of the cubicles in the unit was for easier administration and voting.

According the voters, the official arrangement of the electoral process was not acceptable because it would encourage rigging of the election.
Some of them said they have always voted in the unit in past elections and the cubicles were always kept where everyone could see them.
Voting later commenced at 10a.m. with the security operatives on the ground to ensure law and order.(NAN)
