The burial committee of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala has announced the burial plans for the late politician.
The Sen. Brimmo Yusuff-led committee announced that the late elder stateman and political titan’s burial arrangements will commence on Monday 14th February and end on 20th February 2022.
The Bobagunwa of Ogbomosoland died on 12th of January 2022 in Ogbomoso at the age of 71.
The burial programme, according to a statement signed by Hon. Segun Dokun Odebunmi, Chairman, Media sub-committee, revealed that the programme would begin on Monday, 14th February, 2022 with Lecture & Day of Tributes by the Political Class at Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre, Liberty Road, Ibadan, Oyo State at 11:00am.

It also said that, on Tuesday, 15th February, 2022, a Lecture & Day of Tributes would also hold at 1500 Lecture Theater, College of Health Science, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, Oyo State at 10:00am.
This would be followed by a Praise Night at His residence, Opadoyin Akala Lodge, Randa Ogbomoso, Oyo State by 4:00pm.
Wednesday, 16th February, 2022, there would be a Lying in State & Executive Session at House of Chiefs, Oyo State Government Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, Oyo State, by 12:00pm.
The burial Committee added that the Hearse afterwards would depart in a motorcade to Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
A Cultural Display and Parade would come up, on Thursday, 17th February, 2022, at his residence, Opadoyin Akala Lodge, Randa Ogbomoso, Oyo State, by 10:00am.
This would be followed by a Lying in state, Christian Wake Keep and Service of songs at Ogbomoso High School Open Field, Ogbomoso, Oyo State by 4:00pm
The final burial service would hold on Friday, 18th February, 2022 at Beulah Baptist Conference Ground, Behind Baptist High School, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, by 11:00am.
His remains would be interred immediately at his residence, Opadoyin Akala Lodge, Randa, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
Reception & Entertainment of Guests would hold at Ogbomoso Recreation Club, Ilorin Road, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
A thanksgiving service would hold at Oke-Elerin Baptist Church, Ogbomoso, Oyo State on Sunday, 20th February, 2022 by 10:00am.
The chairman central planning committee Senator Brimmo Yusuff, assured that adequate security measure have been put in place to ensure safety of people and that valuables during the event.
