Gunmen suspected to be bandits have again attacked Zamfara State, abducting a pregnant woman, a medical director and many others.
The pregnant victim, who is the wife of the former chairman, Zamfara State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Alhaji Sanusi Gusau, was said to be nine months pregnant.
She was abducted from her husband’s house in Damba Gusau.

The distraught husband disclosed that gunmen invaded his house in the dead of the night and kidnapped his wife.
“It was a terrible situation that nobody was able to come to assistance, not even the so-called security operatives stationed in the area.
“They jumped over the wall and broke my doors but before they could enter into my room, I was able to hide in a place where they could not locate me, I know that I was their target.
“When they ransacked the house and could not find me, the only option left for them was to abduct my pregnant wife, Ramatu,” Gusau lamented.
In a related development, one Dr. Mansur Mohammed, who is the Director-General of Dansadau General Hospital, and many others had also abducted by the menacing bandits.

Mansur was reportedly kidnapped along Dansadau-Magami road, which the bandits blocked before commencing their nefarious activities.
It was gathered that that many passengers were also kidnapped in the operation.
The state chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, has condemned the attack.
Zamfara State has come under the siege of vicious bandits, leading the state government to charge the people to procure arms and defend themselves.
