Ondo State has again come under attack by gunmen, suspected to be bandits, who reportedly abducted 32 passengers of a Coaster bus, returning to Akure, after attending a burial ceremony in Edo State.
The bandits struck at Benin-Ifon road where they stopped the bus.
The victims were said to be travelling alongside two other vehicles but the drivers of the other vehicles and occupants jumped out and escaped into the forest when the bus was stopped.

It was gathered that the kidnappers whisked all occupants of the bus and their driver into the forest to an unknown destination.
Though some of the occupants reportedly escaped, many of the victims are still with the abductors.
However, security operatives, including the state’s security outfit, Amotekun, are on the hunt for the kidnappers, as they had begun combing the Benin-Ifon-Owo forest in the state in search of the abducted victims.
