“In these trying times, it is imperative that we stand together in solidarity, transcending religious and ethnic barriers.
“Let us use this celebration to renew our commitment to fostering peace and understanding among all Nigerians.
”We are stronger when we work together towards common goals, and it is through mutual respect and dialogue that we can build a more harmonious society.
“Let us encourage our communities to engage in acts of kindness and support for one another, particularly for those who are less fortunate,” he said, urging religious leaders to continuously promote tolerance and coexistence in their messages.
Muslim faithful on Monday celebrated the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, which was marked with a public holiday.
President Bola Tinubu, in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, had congratulated and urged the Muslims to use the period for deep reflection and remembrance of the Holy Prophet’s exemplary conduct and noble teachings, pray for the country and show empathy and compassion toward one another.
“As we mark the Maulud, we should all reflect on the life lived by Prophet Muhammad, exemplified by purity, selflessness, perseverance, kindness and compassion. We must endeavour to imbibe those virtues,” he said.
