An activist and public commentator, Comrade Razaq Olokoba has expressed excitement over Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s readiness to take the bull by the horns over the much awaited Fourth Mainland Bridge his administration is set to build.
Olokoba, who is the National President, Campaign for Dignity in Governance (CDG), in a statement, lauded the governor for giving priority to means to enhance comfortable transportation system which he said is a backbone to economic development of any nation.
The CDG boss further lauded the government on its bid to strengthening the drive for multimodal transport in the state through launching of Uber Boat water transportation service, saying, the scheme would lessen the pressure on the roads across the state.
Sanwo-Olu’s administration’s resolve to expand the routes in some critical areas to ease traffic along the highways coupled with aggressive rehabilitation of bad roads with durable palliatives is an indication that the Governor means business to satisfy the yearning of his people.

Olokoba disclosed that members of his group jumped up for joy when they learnt that Sanwo-Olu has called for Express of Interest in respect of the 38 kilometre Fourth Mainland Bridge project on a Public-Private Partnership arrangement, describing the development as a right step in right the direction.
On the infrastructure development, the CDG leader said his group would not wait to see Lagos State become a huge construction site in 2020 going by the 62 per cent of the N1.168 trillion budgeted for capital expenditure, enthusing that, “Lagos residents are in for better days from 2020 upward.”
The signing of the 629 million dollar funding for the Lekki Seaport project, which funding was provided by China Development Bank, according to the right group, is also a milestone recorded by Sanwo-Olu’s administration in infrastructure development that is commendable.
Lagos State, Olokoba continued, as a global investment destination of choice, needs adequate combination of transportation systems that would ease ways of doing business, reminding that, “the state account for about 55 per cent of the country’s total economy.”
The right activist also expressed optimism that, the way Sanwo-Olu is going and with his performance in just 200 days in office, Lagos State would attain its Mega Status in no time and still maintain its leadership position as one of the three cosmopolitan status along with Cairo in Egypt and Johannesburg in South Africa.
Against this backdrop, the social analyst therefore urged the good people of Lagos to give Sanwo-Olu the maximum support to take the state to the enviable height befitting a Mega City around the world.
