Ekiti State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Foluso Daramola, has disclosed that arrangements were on top gear for the take-off of the three Nigeria Army Command Secondary Schools to be established in Ekiti State.
Daramola, who made this known in Ado-Ekiti, during a press parley with journalists, said five senior military officers were already in the state capital for a 5-day official visit that would take them round the proposed temporary and permanent sites of the schools.
Daramola, who clarified that each of the senatorial districts, would have one Command Secondary School, said the Military Assessment team would pay courtesy calls on royal fathers of the proposed communities where the schools would be sited to have briefing sessions with them before proceeding to conduct the assessment test.

He listed the proposed host communities for the command schools as Ijero-Ekiti, in Ekiti Central Senatorial District, Ikere-Ekiti, in Ekiti South Senatorial District, and Isan-Ekiti, in Ekiti North Senatorial District, adding that the three Command Secondary Schools would take-off in September, this year.
It would be recalled that the state government recently approved the establishment of four new secondary schools, in Ado-Ekiti, to complement the existing ones which are equally scheduled to take off in September this year.
In a related development, Mr. Daramola has said that the third term 2018/2019 academic session would commence on Monday 29th of April 2019.
He called on all public and private schools across the state to adhere strictly to the school calendar.
