.... Review Committee to submit reports on strategies to revive, rescue Nigerians from insecurity and poverty
… As Eze commends Daura Emirate Council for honouring, adopting Minister as a trustworthy son
As political gladiators, power-drunk politicians, strategists, lobbyists and partisan agents continue to engage critical stakeholders by way of consultations on behalf of their principals ahead of the 2023 Presidential contest, the coast seems clear for Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, erstwhile Governor of Rivers State and incumbent Minister of Transportation to succeed President Mohammadu Buhari as virtually all sections of the country, including the African community have given a nod to his great potentials and endorsed him to take Nigeria to the next level.
Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, said Amaechi, a two-time Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, two-time Governor of Rivers State, member of the Federal Executive Council serving out his second term as Minister of Transportation and the only African to lead a Presidential Campaign to oust a ruling party from power, was reappointed in 2019 to lead the same Presidential Campaign Organisation to retain power after a successful first term bid of President Mohammadu Buhari.
Eze said aside being the only Nigerian to lead the Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly and thereafter Nigeria Governors Forum, Amaechi has earned himself a permanent place in history as the only Nigerian Minister to be awarded the best Minster of the decade.
In a statement made available to media houses, Eze highlighted that the ace Rivers-born politician is sufficiently stocked with all that are needed to make all-round positive impacts and achieve a multi-sectoral results within record time as Nigerian President.
Consequent upon his sterling leadership model and commitment to national service and the development of the African region, the party Chief said the Blue Economy Forum, ABEF has nominated Amaechi for the Maritime Security category of the Blue Economy in Africa award in recognition of his efforts in the development of the maritime sector especially, his introduction and implementation of deep blue security project.
The award according to the organizers, “…is in recognition of his role in the introduction and implementation of deep blue security project which has led to a marked reduction in the incidences of piracy at sea and overall improvement of maritime security across the Gulf of Guinea.”

Raila Odinga, former Prime Minister of Kenya was also nominated for the Livelihood Improvement category for promoting programs and efforts to improve livelihood and social inclusion in coastal communities in Kenya through harnessing blue economy opportunities in tourism, transport and aquaculture.
Amaechi is not only an International citizen but also an outstanding Nigerian Leader whose selflessness and patriotic zeal has caused the Daura Emirate Council resolve to turban him as the Dan Amanar Daura, meaning Trustworthy Son of Daura thereby making him not only a title holder in one of the most outstanding Emirates in Nigeria but a respected son of Katsina, a state known for producing outstanding political leaders in Nigeria, including the last two Presidents from then Northern extraction – Late President Unaru Musa Yardua and incumbent President, Mohammadu Buhari, a one one time military head of State of Nigeria. General Yar’adua, ranked as one of the greatest military and political leaders in Nigeria is also from Katsina.
The ceremony, which will be performed by the Emir of Daura, His Royal Highness Alh. (Dr.) Umar Farouk Umar, CON, on 5th February, 2022, has been described in some quarters as an informal introduction of the next President of Nigeria come 2023.
“The title, ‘Dan Amanar Daura’ to be conferred on the former Rivers State governor, literally means ‘The Confidant of Daura’”
Aside from this historical events, the South East is also claiming that Amaechi is one of their sons, married to one of the most awesome daughters of the Igbo extraction in the person of Dame Judith Amaechi.
On the other hand the South West is also maintaining that none of the sections of this country will take away their son from them. They insist that apart from the fact that his name is ROTIMI, Amaechi has treated the zone fairly. They posit that the Transportation Minister has revived the economy of their zone by providing the best railway system across the states in their area. “Amaechi need not worry himself about the support of the Zone as they are never known as ingrates”.
Similarly, the South South people have continually said they can only thank all the zones for the supports they have ceaselessly showered on their son and assures that the Transportation Minister will not disappoint Nigeria and Nigerians given his readiness to recreate the magic he performed while as Governor of Rivers State and as Nigeria’s Minister.

Supporting the views of the Northern region of Nigeria on Amaechi, the Coalition of Northern Youth for Good Governance has endorsed Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, to succeed the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) in 2023.
According to the group, at 56, Amaechi does not have the burden of old age-related health challenges associated with some aspirants. In this regard, the National Coordinator of the group, Bilal Dakiyak while addressing Journalists in Abuja recently, said Amaechi is the best man to sustain President Buhari’s momentum of diversification and economic reform.
“For the purpose of continuity, the Coalition of Northern Youth for Good Governance has a preference that the All Progressive Congress continues its run in office.
“That way Nigeria will not suffer losses that arise because of the government of different political party deciding not to press ahead with the policies and projects inaugurated by the outgoing government. It is on record that Nigeria has lost much to the lack of continuity in government.
Not minding all these facts, Amaechi is a friend of the north in addition to having the right connection with the South-West, South-East and his south-south geo-political region. He is a fair-minded person and will be kind to all Nigerians, especially when he has repeatedly proven that has no religious discriminations.”
As Nigerians await his formal declaration, Eze Commends the Daura Emirate Council and the Africa Blue Economy Forum for rewarding competence by finding Amaechi fit for the turbaning and award investiture and calls on all and sundry to keep praying for the enthronement of a man with the right frame of mind, perception and sound leadership mentality as Nigeria’s next President in 2023 while suing for patience to allow the Committee comprising of some of the best brains in Nigeria set up to develop a strategic action plan to revive and rescue Nigerians from insecurity and poverty in line with the vision and mission of Amaechi to achieve his type of Nigeria that will standout in the comity of nations to complete their task and for Amaechi to act accordingly.
