2023: Our confidence in Tinubu/Shettima victory intact –Campaign Group

A political campaign organization, Nigerians Unite for Tinubu/Shettima Mandate 2023 formed in Ogun State has said that its belief in the ability and capability of the joint ticket to carry the day in 2023 general election remains intact and unshakable.
The group was formed purposely to galvanize support and mobilise votes for the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC), presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima in the next year’s general election.
Disclosing this to our correspondent in Ifo, Ogun State on Tuesday November 29, 2022, the Contact and Mobilization man for the group, Comrade Muritala Adebukola (a.k.a. Alhaji) who represents Ogun Central Senatorial District in the group’s State Executive Committee further informed that, “the movement is a political brain child of the Minister of State, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Hajia (Dr) Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, who he said is of the conviction that the duo of Tinubu and Shettima have what it takes to take the country to the promise land.
According to Muritala, critical look has been taken regarding the combination and come to the conclusion that, going by their experiences pedigrees and antecedences, they possess some experiences others in the race from other political parties do not possess adding that, “they have the capability to hit the ground running the very first day they assume office on May 29, 2023 as President and Vice President, respectively.
When asked to give an insight into what reinforces the group’s belief and confidence in the duo, Muritala reminded that, “both Tinubu and Shettima have both legislative and executive experiences, the two vital ingredients for good governance and stable democratic processes,” pointing out that, any other pairs without these two ingredients would fall below expectations to rub shoulders with them when the chips are dawn in 2023.
“Recall Tinubi was the governor of Lagos State, a state considered as  mini Nigeria for eight years, 1999 t0 2007 while on the other hand his running mate was also at a time a two terms executive governor of Borno State.
“Tinubu was Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria likewise Shettima and once a Senator is always a Senator even in the United State of America (USA), from where we copy our democracy,” Muritala reminded, pointing out that, their experiences as chief executives of states as well as their legislative know-how would be brought to bear on the country and thus guarantee good governance that would deliver dividends of democracy to the door steps of the good people of Nigeria.
It is against that background that Muritala said, “make our confidence in them to remain ever solid, intact and not shaking because we have the belief that they are the best materials around now for the country.’
He therefore urged Nigerians to seize the opportunity that has presented itself on a platter of gold to vote en masse for them and all other candidates of the APC across board for the betterment of the citizenry.
