Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, on Sunday, said he had no special candidate for the 2023 presidential elections.
Fielding questions from newsmen after he visited former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar (rtd) at his Uphill residence in Minna, Niger State, former President Obasanjo said he had a national agenda which would be unveiled soon.

Said he, “I do not have a special candidate. I only have a national agenda.
Obasanjo explained that he was in Minna to see Gen. Abdulsalam who had been indisposed adding that the former leader was very special to him.
He further explained, “I came to see my brother who has been a little indisposed. When he was in London, I had wanted to visit him but the day I arrived in London was the day he left.

“So, that is why I decided to come and see him at home. He is very special and I am still strong to visit those who are special to me”, he said.
Obasanjo arrived at Abdulsalam’s Uphill residence at 12.30p.m. and after greetings with Gen. Abdulsalam’s family, he had a closed-door meeting with his host for over 30 minutes.
