2023: Group for Tinubu/Shettima formed in Ogun

A political campaign organisation, Nigerians Unite for Tinubu/Shettima Mandate 2023 has been formed in Ogun State to galvanize support and mobilise votes for the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Sen. Kashim Shettima in the next year’s general election.

Disclosing this to our correspondent Monday in Ifo, Ogun State, the Contact and Mobilization man for the group, Comrade Muritala Adebukola (a.k.a. Alhaji) who represents Ogun Central Senatorial District in the group’s State’s Executive Committee said, the name of the Group is Nigerians Unite For Tinubu/Shettima Mandate (NUFTS) 2023.

According to him the Motto of the group is Uniting for Victory and Better Nigeria with its slogan being NUFAM, 2023!

Speaking further, Muritala informed that, as the name implies, “the movement is a political movement that was put together by the people’s Minister of State, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Hajia (Dr) Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu to galvanise, mobilise, sensitise and preach the gospel of ‘TINUBU/SHETTIMA’ for President and Vice president of our dear country Nigeria under our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), to the electorate across the length and breadth of Nigeria and beyond.”

On membership eligibility, Muritala stated that, anybody below the age 18 is not allowed and it is mandatory for all members to have Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) each adding that, members, who should be Nigerians can be resident at home or in the Diaspora with verifiable Polling Units in particular Local Government Areas in Nigeria.

Spelling out the rules and regulation of the movement, the vocal Contact and Mobilization officer said discussions on the group’s platform shall be basically on the issues pertaining to the group’s principals (Tinubu/Shettima), warning that, “use of vulgar and abusive language of any kind is prohibited as violators shall be permanently removed!”

Religious post of any kind shall not be condone

Lastly, Muritala also informed that, religious posts are not condoned while “ideas and innovations that are compliant with the aim and objective of the movement are welcome,” asserting that, “unity, togetherness and peaceful coexistence are the hallmarks of the organisation.”

The Movement, Muritala affirmed, has its structure across all the wards, Local Governments and Zonal Districts of the state.
