Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on Friday urged members of the Lagos House of Assembly, as well as those at the National Assembly, to support the Presidential ambition of the national leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Sanwo-Olu spoke at the 17th edition of the Executive and Legislative Parley held in Lagos with the theme ‘Mobilising Citizens as a Social Capital Towards 2023 General Elections.’
In attendance were Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Hon. Dolapo Badru, a member of the House of Representatives, and the head of Lagos caucus at the Assembly, who represented the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.

He said having done a lot for Lagos and Nigeria, the 2023 election is an opportunity for the lawmakers to pay back the good deeds of the national leader.
“As we approach 2023, the all-important election year, there is a whole lot that we can achieve together as a united bloc. Therefore, I enjoin you all to come together and let us rally round our father and leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he gives the nation’s presidency a shot.
He has unselfishly given himself to the good people of Lagos and Nigeria as a whole. This, indeed, is the time to pay him back with our unwavering support. He is, no doubt, the right and best man for the job. He knows the issues plaguing our nation like the back of his hands and he has the magic wand to fix it.
I, therefore, urge everyone to come together and rally behind this great man of history,” Sanwo-Olu urged the lawmakers.
The governor thanked members of the Lagos House of Assembly for their support to his administration, saying all the remarkable strides his administration has achieved in the last two and a half years would not have been impossible without their cooperation.
“Your contributions toward the overall success of this administration will never be underestimated.”

Sanwo-Olu further expressed his administration’s commitment towards achieving the T. H. E. M. E. S. Agenda.
A member, Lagos House of Assembly, Honourable Gbolahan Yishawu said Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves to be supported as his ‘records speak for him.”
“As for me, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the only candidate for the 2023 presidential election. His records and pedigree speaks for him. But in politics, we won’t just sit down. This is a leader that is able to foresee the unseen, ” he said.
He commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for delivering on his political promises by finishing projects he met on ground and starting new ones.
“We commend him, he’s doing well,” he said.
