Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has urged religious groups in Nigeria to seek the face of God for peace, progress and development as the 2023 general elections approaches.
The governor spoke on Friday at the Christ Ambassadors Soul Winners’ Ministries International 18th Annual “Pray for Nigeria Crusade” tagged; “Able God” at Agege Stadium. convened by Cardinal James Odunbaku.
Speaking at the interdenominational crusade, Sanwo-Olu said there was no better time to seek the face of God than now when the country is preparing for general elections,and urged Lagosians to come out en masse to vote for candidates of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress in the 2023 general elections.
According to the governor, prayers had been keeping Nigeria together to enjoy tranquility, joy and development while praying that the country would continue to enjoy peace.
He commended the convener of the crusade, Cardinal Odunbaku for his continuous prayers, support and efforts to ensure a greater Lagos.
