A 2-year-old child, Christabel Omokpia, reportedly sold by an orphanage in Rivers State for N850,000, has been recovered in Enugu State, by men of Edo Sate police Command.
The victim was stolen alongside her sister, Amanda, from Utensi village, in Ovia North East, by two female tenants of their father in June last year.
The child was left under the care of the suspects, Mary and Rose.

The victim’s mother, Faith, said the duo disappeared with the children.
One Anioke Augustine, in Enugu, bought the baby for N850,000.
The Edo State PPRO, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, said it was thepolice commissioner that gave order that the children should be recovered.
Surprisingly, the children could not recognise their parents again.
