The Head, Information and Public Relations Division of the National Examinations Council (NECO), Azeez Sani, has said that the examination body has sacked 19 of its workers for allegedly forging their certificates.
The sacking followed approval of the report of a Staff Certificate Verification Committee set up by the council at its 52nd regular meeting of by the NECO Governing Board.

Sani explained that the institutions, which the affected staff claimed to have attended denied issuing the certificates to them.
He said, “The Governing Board of the National Examinations Council (NECO) has approved the dismissal of 19 staff from her service for certificate forgery.”
