No fewer than 18 persons have perished in a ghastly motor accident that occurred in Birnin-Kudu Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
The Public Relations Officer of the command ASP Lawan Shisu Adam disclosed this to newsmen in Dutse.
He explained that the accident involved two 18-seater Hummer buses that had head-on collision close to Alu Farms in Birnin Kudu.
He said 12 persons were burnt beyond recognition as a result of fire outbreak from the accident.
According to him, a mass burial had been conducted for the deceased, while six corpses were deposited at the Federal Medical Center Birnin-Kudu.
ASP Lawan Shisu added that one person, who is the driver of one of the buses involved, survived with fracture on his leg and receiving treatment at the hospital.
