12 die as Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases hit over 20,000

Nigeria, on Sunday, confirmed 12 COVID-19 related deaths and 436 new cases, thus bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 20,244.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), in a tweet, on Sunday, confirmed the new cases were reported in 19 states.

It also said the 12 deaths brought the total number those who died as a result of the virus to 518.

The affected states included: Lagos, Oyo, Plateau, Imo, Kaduna, Ogun, Federal Capital Territory (FCT),, Enugu, Bauchi, ,Bayelsa, Rivers, Osun, Kano, Edo, Benue, Adamawa, Borno, Abia and Ekiti.
